At the Cēsis Exhibition House you can visit two exhibitions – “Active Movement” created jointly by artists Pēteris Sidars and Juris Petraškevičs and the jewelry exhibition “Hungary’s Hidden Treasures” offered by the Hungarian Embassy in Latvia.

Pēteris Sidars is a textile artist whose field of creative activity includes various fields – textile art, installations, objects. Materials such as silicone, glass, plastic, hot glue and a variety of natural objects are used in the artist’s works, but the focus always remains on color, shape and structure. Juris Petraškevičs, on the other hand, is active in various fields of art – graphics, painting, illustration and book design, draws coins, is an artist for several animated films. The artist’s drawings can be seen in this exhibition.

The exhibition, created jointly by the artists, is like an amazing journey that takes the viewer into another reality of visual enjoyment.

 

On the second floor of the Exhibition house can be seen a jewelry exhibition “Hungary’s Hidden Treasures”. Hungary is one of the oldest porcelain manufacturer in Europe countries, high-quality porcelain manufacturing tradition in Hungary are deeply rooted and are passed down from generation to generation.

The jewelry on display at the exhibition was created by a small family company “Zema”, which has been able to create a strong, internationally recognized jewelry brand. Each collection has its own story and meaning. The motifs used in the painting of jewelry always have a content, a message, for example, the collection “Ancient Power” in a modern way reflects the writings and motifs of the Hungarian folk.
