Jacques Tati’s comedy “Mr. Ilo’s Holidays” (1953), based on the silent clowning tradition dating back to Chaplin’s time, where the soundtrack deserves to be listened to separately. The combination of music and atmospheric sounds creates a unique mood of the film, but some sound effects are used as part of comic situations.
