On July 9 of this year, the sixteenth Cēsi Art Festival will be opened in Cēsis, which will offer a versatile program of events for every art lover’s taste. Visitors to the festival will have the opportunity to view three visual art exhibitions and enjoy Richard Wagner’s opera “Tristan und Isolde” in a concert performance by world-famous singers. The opera will be performed in full in Latvia for the first time after a 100-year break. Raimonds Pauls, Daumants Kalniņš and Latvijas Radio big band will perform at the traditional open-air event on the stage of Cēsu Palace Park. The festival will run until August 14.
